Graduation Projects

The successful completion of a Graduation Project is a requirement for graduation from Central Cambria High School.  Students complete the following for their Graduation Project:

  • 20 hours of community service OR
  • 16 hours of community service +4 hour job shadowing experience OR
  • 12 hours of community service +8 hour job shadowing experience
 

One of the above choices will be a part of a career portfolio students complete in their senior English class. The Career Cruising Independent Research Projects document can be found here.

Students will present their project in English class.  All students will be graded on the quality of the finished product, including the presentation of the Graduation Project.  Forms to be used for documentation of the Graduation Project can be found here.

THE GRADUATION PROJECT, INCLUDING THE ORAL PRESENTATION, MUST BE COMPLETED BY THE CONCLUSION OF THE 3RD MARKING PERIOD.  FAILURE TO COMPLETE THE GRADUATION PROJECT BY THE DEADLINE WILL JEOPARDIZE A STUDENT’S ELIGIBILITY TO GRADUATE WITH THEIR CLASS.
